How it works

A watertight shower, in two factory-made parts.

A traditional wet room is built on site from a dozen materials and trades: screed, membrane, adhesive, tiles and grout. Modo replaces all of it with two finished parts, a shower tray and a set of wall panels, engineered to lock together into one sealed, grout-free enclosure.

The sintered stone tray

A sintered stone surface on a steel-reinforced cement base: a rebar mesh set in a cement infill, with the drainage fall and the drain outlet formed in at the factory. There is no screed to lay and nothing for an installer to get wrong.

  • Built-in 2% fall directs water to the drain
  • Steel-reinforced cement base: rigid and solid, with no flex or hollow sound
  • Sintered stone surface: non-porous, anti-slip and hard-wearing

The click-lock wall panels

Large-format SPC (stone-plastic composite) panels: a rigid, fully waterproof core with a printed stone or tile finish. They click together at the joints and bond to the wall or straight over existing tiles, so most jobs need little or no hacking.

  • Bonds over existing tile, reducing demolition and debris

On site in one visit

    Set the tray. It drops onto the existing floor, levelled, with the fall already in it. No screed, no cure time.

  2. 2

    Lock on the panels. Click the joints, bond to the wall or straight over existing tiles, and lap the panels over the tray upstand.

  3. 3

    Seal and shower. Joints are sealed the same day. The full envelope is fitted in three to four hours, with no tiling gang and no multi-day wait.
